Racism Reflection

Hello everyone!

Here is a question for me and you to ponder about!(:

What do you think can be done to combat racism, and do you think enough has been done to stop this?
1st question-> Singapore 2nd question->All over the world

I think that rules and measures can be carried out and initiated, so as to deter people from being racist, and spreading racist remarks and doing racists acts everywhere. An example of this rules or punishment that can be carried out would be fines. Once somebody is called passing and racist and crude remark which is racially  sensitive, one will be fined heavily, depending on how crude and serious the comment is. The fine may and can be from $200 to $1000 dollars. Also, if fines do not work, harsher punishments can be carried out, such as strokes of the cane and a jail term. Racism is a very serious thing that can generate much social unrest and violence, thus i feel that offenders MUST be stopped immediately.

Next, on the second question, i feel that not enough measures have been taken to combat and stop racism, particularly in states of America like North Alabama, Mississippi etc. Many blacks are still condemned and neglected by the social community, which is mainly made out of whites. They are still being violently mistreated, very cruelly and badly. I feel that EVERYONE, has a part to play to stop racism, and particularly, the police workforce and the government have to step up measures to stop racism immediately, before they escalate into racial disputes and bloodshed.
