Hello everyone!
Here is the question that i will answer:"Pick a news articles and comment on it. Did it cover what you wanted it to cover, and how effectively was the information covered?"
Today i will be commenting on a newspaper article that i have chosen, which i have read last week. This article is in the informative magazine, "Newsweek", and it is titled, "The Impact of Disaster".
I find this article very informative and essential in conveying its points to the readers, as there are many methodology, such as a cartoon strip that well explains the current situation of Japan. Furthermore, there were many pictures that illustrates and show how bad a situation Japan is caught in now, with cars overturned, houses and buildings destructed, and of course, the nuclear plants, gaining temperature tremendously.
Japan is now facing many difficulties, and of course, the articles has to not only show and provide facts of the 9.0 magnitude earthquake and the tsunami, it also has to show how the Japan government and military reacted, and how the locals reacted as well, and this article covered this points perfectly well, both essentially and interestingly, using pictures and interesting phrases to emphasize on certain points and facts.
Therefore, in a nutshell, i feel that this is a really good and interesting article, and should be read by all, to learn how to write a good report, and at the same time, gain in general knowledge through it.
That is about all!
Thank you!(:
Yours sincerely,
Mervin Lim (:
