Online Lesson Reflection

Hello everyone!

Now i will be reflecting on the home learning that was conducted on the 24th of January, 2011. (:

I feel that home learning is a really effective way of testing if one can work independently. It is also a very effective way of conducting lessons, in case of emergency matters. For example, when a flu epidemic, like SARS or H1N1, breaks out, we will still be able to conduct lessons online, using social networks like blogger, wikispaces, facebook etc.

For this online lesson, i found it really interesting, as i got introduced to a new website, toondoo. It enables users to create what they feel, in graphics and pictures, instead of just words, words, and boring words. It also allows the user to tell a story, as it is sequential. I really enjoyed it, and also started making lots of comics using toondoo, ever since i got introduced to it, which is on the 24th, the home learning day itself. So far, i have created 6 comics, with 3 on racial prejudice, and the other 3 on random topics.

However, during the home learning session, i met with some hiccups. Technical difficulties cannot be prevented. However, i also got to realise that some of my friends are really not original, and they are always copying from my blog posts. As i did the comic one day earlier, my friend copied the whole plot of my comic, and plagiarize it.

It was only when i confronted him that he agreed to change his post. This is the second time someone has been copying from my blogposts, and both blog posts copied are for LA Ace. I really hope that the will change and turn over a new leaf, and not be lazy, copying everything from others. Also, they should not be too desperate to get high marks, but should just put in their best efforts in everything they do, and they are bound to score well for it.

Now, i will end off my post with one phrase, that is everyone knows, but not all follows.

"Honesty is the best policy!"

Best regards,
Mervin Lim (:
