Hello everyone!
Now i will be talking about my neighbourhood, using my five senses, which are sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste.
Firstly, in my neighbourhood, cars are the most common thing anyone can see. Nowadays, people are having really comfortable lives, and will even complain, when they have to take public transport. Everyone wants to have cars. For the rich, they want more fancy cars, while for the poor, they want a car to travel around efficiently and quickly. Cars of different shapes, sizes, colours and designs, a wide variety of them, would usually be sitting there in the carpark, waiting to be driven again.
Next, i would talk about the excellent facilities in my neighbourhood. Opposite my house, is a famous primary school, Nan Hua Primary School, which is where i studied in. Also, next to my house, there is a fire station, and when there is a fire, we do not need to worry, as help will arrive in less than a few seconds, after being notified. Furthermore, a stone's throw away, is the bus interchange and mrt station, and we can travel really efficiently and time consumingly. Police stations are also there to maintain order in my neighbourhood. Recreational things like arcades, LAN gaming centres, shopping centres, cinemas and libraries are also very nearby, and walking 5 minutes would enable me to go anywhere i want.
Also, in my neighbourhood, traffic can always be heard, as it is right next to the highway, where cars speed, and sometimes crashes from accidents can also be heard. We would then rush over to the balcony and see what has just happened, out of curiosity.
There are also many foodstalls, food courts, and restaurants nearby, like Mac Donalds, that can definitely satisfy our tastebuds!(:
The bad thing would be that my house is very near incinerators, and thus sometimes, the air is really smelly and unhealthy. Furthermore, people smoke and combustion of fossil fuels by cars would take effect on our fresh air, making them smelly and dirty. However, luckily, we have airconditioners, to ventilate my house well, to prevent us from the dirty air.
The last sense, which is touch is hard to elaborate on, and i will leave it out. Hope you all enjoyed my post!
Yours sincerely,
Mervin Lim
